Use case

Real-time stock tracking for every item you sell

See what is on the shelf, on order or running low, and let the assistant tell callers the current figure by phone, in Greek or English, at any hour.

Why accurate stock matters for Greek online shops

The 2025 e-commerce survey by GR.EC.A and ELTRUN, based on 800 Greek online shoppers, reports that 84.4% prefer Greek e-shops and that one in two of them also use marketplaces or price comparison platforms. A shop can therefore list the same product on its own site and on a marketplace, and every listing needs the same stock figure.

Skroutz's developer documentation asks for a quantity on every product in the XML feed and says a product that is out of stock must show 0. Its Products API accepts bulk updates of availability, price and quantity, up to 500 products per request. On Skroutz Marketplace an order can be rejected when an item is out of stock at the shop or the supplier. All of these rules assume an up to date stock figure.

The same survey reports that 65% of the public regard immediate, effective service during and after a purchase as critical, and it lists telephone support among the essential elements of trust. An assistant that answers a stock question on the phone at any hour is part of that service.

How stock tracking works

1

We load your product list

Items, units and reorder levels are set up once with your team, so the numbers match how you count stock.

2

Stock stays current

Changes to stock are recorded, and items close to their reorder level are flagged in the dashboard.

3

The assistant answers with the figure

Callers and WhatsApp customers who ask about an item get the current stock level from the assistant.

What a Greek e-shop gains

Six practical results of keeping one current stock figure for every channel.

Fewer rejected marketplace orders

One current figure per item supports the rules marketplaces such as Skroutz apply, where an order can be rejected for an item that is out of stock.

One stock level for everyone

Your team and the assistant read the same figure, instead of several spreadsheets.

Stock questions answered by voice

Callers ask whether an item is available and hear the current figure, at any hour, in Greek or English.

Less time on manual counts

You check a number in the dashboard instead of counting shelves and storage.

Early sight of what is running low

Items close to their reorder level are visible before they run out.

Fits any size of business

A small e-shop, a shop with a counter and a wholesaler all need the same thing: a current figure per item.

A stock question, by phone

An example call to a shop. What the assistant says follows the stock you have recorded.

Caller

Hello, do you have the grey running jacket in size M?

Voice assistant

Hello, I'm the shop's digital assistant. Yes, the grey running jacket in M is in stock, with 4 left. Would you like me to send you the product link?

Caller

How soon could it arrive in Thessaloniki?

Voice assistant

Delivery time depends on the shop's shipping terms. I can send the product page and the delivery terms to you on WhatsApp.

Caller

Yes, please.

Voice assistant

Done, the message is on its way. Is there anything else I can check for you?

Sample dialogue written for this page.

Voice answers on the phone

The assistant answers calls and tells the caller whether an item is available, so your team is not interrupted for a yes or no.

Voice notes on WhatsApp too

With the WhatsApp add-on, a customer can send a voice note with their question and get the answer in the same chat.

Greek and English

The question is asked in Greek or English and the answer comes back in the same language.

Open when you are not

Evening and weekend questions get an answer instead of a missed call.

One dashboard

Every item, its level and the conversations about it sit in your dashboard.

Fewer interruptions for your team

Repeated availability questions are handled by the assistant, so your team can work on orders.

Stock tracking questions

What do I see for each item?

Its current stock level and its reorder level, in the inventory section of your dashboard.

Can a customer ask about stock by phone?

Yes. The assistant takes the call, looks for the item and tells the caller whether it is available. If it cannot identify the item, it says so and passes a message to your team.

Does it work with voice notes on WhatsApp?

With the WhatsApp add-on, customers can send voice notes and the assistant replies in the chat.

Can it connect to the system I already use?

It can connect to tools you already use for stock records. Tell us which one and we will check it with you.

Does it update my Skroutz or marketplace listings?

Marketplace listings are updated through your shop's feed or API. Tell us how you send stock to Skroutz today and we will explain what is possible.

How long does set up take?

Usually within a week. We need your product list and the reorder level for each item.

Is my stock data private?

Stock data is encrypted in transit and, where applicable, at rest, and only your team sees it in the dashboard.

Is it only for online shops?

No. Shops with a counter, wholesalers and any business that holds stock can use it. The setup is the same: a product list and a reorder level for each item.
